If you read my blogs – you know that I love to find quotes – that often put my thoughts into words – in a way that enhances them.

One of the quotes that I have used in the past – has been this one – “Life is a journey – not a destination” – and there is a great truth in that.

But – this past week – I was reminded – that in fact – although it’s important to enjoy the journey – it’s okay to have the destination in mind too – for – both have their place.

We can do both – to quote – “Focus on your destination – but enjoy every sacred moment of the journey”.

The reminder that I was given – came about with two people who were enjoying time together – one was focused on the destination – while the other wanted to slow down and enjoy the journey. They soon realised that – both could be achieved – by combining their individual focuses – they could get the best out of their time together.

So many times in life – I have come across this occurrence – when two seemingly opposing views – can actually exist quite well – side by side.

Someone put it like this – “The best ideas emerge – when very different perspectives meet”

I have had to learn – both to listen to – and accept an opposing point of view – and to understand that – opposite things can both be true – it’s a paradox – or to quote –

“Across the planes of consciousness – we have to live with the paradox – that opposite things can be simultaneously true”

I need to allow opposite truths – to exist together – and have come to see that by doing so – harmony is created.

I love this quote – “A wonderful harmony is created – when we join together – the seemingly unconnected”.

I am so glad – that I have learnt – and in fact am still learning – that the world is a far better place – when the seeming – ‘unconnected’ – come together.

I can learn so much from others – realising that – by the merging together of our different points of view – it does in fact – create a greater richness – and a deeper harmony – on my journey in life,
