I came across this phrase – the other day – “Tomorrow starts today” – and it’s stuck with me ever since.
It’s a powerful reminder for me – that my future is shaped – by the actions – habits – and decisions – that I make in the present moment.
So – that means that each day is important – as it impacts both tomorrow – and the future.

A question that is perhaps a good one to ask myself is this – “Ask yourself – if what you are doing today – is getting you closer – to where you want to be tomorrow”.
The days go by so quickly – and I have to confess that – most of the time – I don’t give conscious thought to how – what I am doing that day – does have an impact – almost a – ‘ripple effect’ – on my tomorrows – and indeed my future.
When I think about it – now at my age – my goal for the future is to stay healthy and strong. To be able to contribute – and add value – to the lives of those around me – and to do so – I do need to be mindful of what I do each day.
And – having said that -it also means that I need to be mindful of my own needs.

I thought this quote was quite important for me today – “Take care of yourself today – all your tomorrows depend on it”.
I recognise that much of the time – I am so focused on caring for others – that I neglect to give proper attention to myself.
But – my – ‘tomorrows’ – do indeed depend on my -‘ todays’ – and especially as I have been unwell recently – it behoves me to take notice of that.

I find this quote helpful to me – “Taking care of yourself – doesn’t mean – ‘me first’ – it means – ‘me too’.
Taking care of myself – doesn’t mean that I have to neglect taking care of others – but that – I need to be mindful of my own needs as well.
All a reminder for me – that – my tomorrow – starts today.
Blessings – Lois
