Sitting in the quiet of the morning – I was once again aware of the need to nourish my soul.

For my soul – is the essence of who I am – or put this way –
“Your soul is the power and core of who you are – feed it well”
All I am – stems from my soul.
My soul is not just a part of who I am – it’s the true life that I breathe – the deep well within – for I am a soul with a body – rather than a body with a soul.
I find this very freeing – for growing up in an environment – where – to be ‘spiritual’ was something to attain to – I often expressed my desire – to be – ‘naturally – supernatural’.

I found this following quote interesting –
“You have to grow from the inside out – no one can teach you – no one can make you spiritual – there is no other teacher but your own soul”.
And that is so remarkably encouraging – for the truth of my soul – resides within me.
It’s not something that anyone can teach me – or even presume to tell me how to find. I am spiritual from the beginning – and simply need to recognise this – and nourish and grow that spiritual core of me.

I love that – as someone put it –
“The soul has been given it’s own ears – to hear things that the mind does not understand”.
I do not need to completely understand things – for myself – or seek to explain anything to others – but simply rest – in who I am – and follow this thought –

“Dig into your own soul – find your own truth. What calls to your heart – what moves your spirit. Make your life dance – to the song of your own essence”.
For – I am my own person – I have my own song to sing. A song that comes from deep within my spirit.
A song that is the expression of who I am – and the spirit that is the very essence of myself – allowing me to dwell in the quiet depths of my soul – even as the business of life flows around me.

And so – each day – I endeavour to follow this advice –
“Make time each day – to step back from the chaos. In those quiet moments – you reconnect with yourself – and discover the calm – that carries you through everything”.
A reminder – to constantly nourish and connect – with my soul – the very essence of who I am.
Blessings – Lois
