I am so thankful for my ‘happy place’ – a small summerhouse situated at the end of our garden. It’s hard to believe that just one year ago this was a dirty – unkept space – full of junk and many cobwebs!
That was when we moved into this lovely house – and to be honest – the cleaning and sorting out of this place was not high on the list of priorities.
However – imagine my delight when – during the summer months – we manage to get the space cleaned – painted – and set up as a lovely quiet place to relax – or work in.

Here I can sit – and simply relax in the quiet – enjoy a coffee – and be ready to pick up on any craft I fancy – whenever I want. It blesses me so much – that I can choose to begin and finish whenever I want to – without having to unpack – or put everything away each time.

I can sit and work with the light shining in – a view of the garden – trees and sunlight to inspire – music playing in the background whenever I get the urge – all undisturbed – all so peaceful.
At the moment I’m working on some water colour cards for Christmas. I’m still very much a learner in this field – but so enjoying the challenge.

As I work – I am so conscious of how fortunate I am – to have such a lovely space – to be able to indulge in my favourite pastimes – to relax and be inspired. I am aware that so many people do not have any space – nowhere to get away – to enjoy that quiet – and I thank God – for His provision – not only of our lovely home – but of this special space – ‘my happy place’
Blessings Lois
