Today I celebrate my birthday – and I’m conscious – as I read birthday wishes – and as I open presents – that the greatest of all gifts I can have – is the gift of years.

As I look back over the years – they are full – rich – lifechanging – and that is because of the many people who have been a part of my life.

There are those who have always been there for me – through thick and thin – they have stood by – supported me – walked with me through the hard times as well as the good times

There are others who were part of my life for just a short time – shared moments – gave me a glimpse of who they are – and left their mark on my life.

There are old friends – and new friends – friends I communicate with often – and those with whom contact is sparse – yet today – I know I will hear from so many – birthday wishes will be sent – and I will remember – I will remember those times when our lives crossed – remember those moments – those experiences we shared – and I will be blessed.

So thank you – to you all. Thank you for being a part of my life – thank you for remembering too – for taking the time today to send your wishes my way – I appreciate them all – you fill my day with memories – and remind me how much richer my life is – because you are a part of it.
