Today is the day of the year when we traditionally wish every one ‘A Happy – or Blessed New Year’ – however – as I sit to write I am so very conscious of the importance of each day – and so in the light of that I want to wish everyone ‘A blessed – a happy – new day’

As we all know life is so unpredictable – and I’m sure most of us have experienced so many things during this past year that we could never have imagined.

There have been times when life has been so hard that we could hardly imagine how we were going to get through the next days – the next weeks – the next months – yet – by leaning on God each day and drawing strength from Him we have been able to not only ‘get through’ those weeks and months – but have experienced great blessings too.

We have been very conscious of the many prayers offered up on our behalf – prayers of blessing – and especially the prayer from scripture – “The Lord bless you and keep you – the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you – the Lord turn His face towards you and give you peace” – we want to thank all of you who have prayed that prayer for us – and have reached out to us in any way – it has meant so much to us.

And so we look forward – trusting God one day at a time – seeing each day as a new beginning – a new chance – a new hope and a new light.

My prayer is that you too will know the blessing of God – on each day – and as the days grow into weeks – and as the year unfolds – may each day bring to you renewed hope and may Gods face shine upon you and give you peace.
