‘He Calls My Name’

name 2One of my favourite parts of the Easter Sunday account is of when Mary Magdalene had gone to the tomb – saw that the stone had been removed – and when the disciples discovered that Jesus was no longer there she stayed at the tomb weeping – heart broken and sad – wanting to know where someone had taken His body.

She looked in the tomb and saw two angels  – then turning round she saw Jesus – who she did not recognise and asked Him if He knew what had happened.

name 1This next bit is the part that I love – for Jesus simply calls her by name- and suddenly she recognises Who He is – He is right there if front of her – waiting for her to recognise Him – to see and understand that she is not forsaken – He is there for her – as He had always been.

I love the fact that the same is true for me today that when I look for Him – He calls my name – He lets me know He is there for me – as He always has been.

I may be heart broken – sad – struggling to come to terms with things that have happened in my life – but – if I look for Him – not only will I find Him – but He will – not just know my name – He will call my name. I pray that as you  seek Him – you will recognise Him – as He calls your name.

Blessings and love this Easter time – Lois

Easter blessings & hugs, Lois. Thank you for this inspiring word. It’s easy to let current challenges and bad news drown out the voice of Jesus calling us to dwell in His love (where we hear His voice clearly.) Peace be with you! ✨☀️🙏☀️✨
