My Blog has reached it’s first anniversary!!

I feel so excited to think that I have succeeded in writing my blog for a whole year. When I began I wasn’t sure if I could keep it up – I was a very new beginner and very nervous about sharing my writing with other people – I had never done so before.

On this Special day – I would like to thank the many of you who have encouraged me along the way – without your support and words of encouragement I would never have made it this far.

I found it difficult – and I have to say a bit ‘scary’ – when I first posted my blog – I had no idea if anyone would even bother to read it – my insecurities rose to the surface – how would I know what anyone thought if they did read it – if no one ‘commented’ – or ‘liked’ my posts – what did that mean.

I had to really think about my motives for writing my blog – was it just so that I would get recognition- feel good because of what someone said.

I knew it was important for me to look at my motives – and recognising that my initial motive was to encourage – bless and inspire others through my writing really helped me to not focus on trying to get a good response- but be content to write – praying that somehow – someone would be encouraged – blessed and inspired.

When I think of the many Anniversaries that I have celebrated over the years – one thing stands out – they ALL include other people!

It’s other people who make these anniversaries with me – share some of themselves to help make them happen – and – I treasure that fact – so – by sharing my blog – you are a part of my celebration today – and I pray a special blessing on your day – I pray a prayer of blessing that I have been encouraged to pray for others daily –
