‘Re-centre’

Each morning I take a short time to listen to a daily devotional – and each day I am encouraged to – “re-centre my scattered senses – on the Presence of God”

This causes me to pause – to – ‘ take a moment’ – to seek to re-align my thoughts – to focus – even for a short while – on what is most important to me – and that is my relationship with God.

We often sing a beautiful song :

Jesus, be the centre – be my source, be my light – Jesus
Be my hope, be my song
Be the fire in my heart
Be the wind in these sails
Be the reason that I live
Jesus, be my vision
Be my path, be my guide
Jesus

As I reflect on that song however – I recognise that I have a responsibility – I need to play my part. Although He promises to be my source – my light – my hope – my vision – my guide – and in fact all that I ever need – I need to be willing to place Him at the centre of my life.

So – as I sit in the silence – gather up my scattered thoughts – seek to focus all my senses on Him – I place Him right back in the centre – allowing Him to speak with me – listening to His voice – and as I do so – I feel so blessed – to know He is with me – as I walk into another day.

Blessings – Lois

Thanks so much for your comments Dave – I do appreciate that we all have our own faith – or none – but try to be my true self in my blog – so thanks for letting me know it meant something to you – Lois
