I’m not sure just where I heard the phrase this week – but it’s one that has stayed with me – and I thought it was worth exploring further. The phrase was – ” My story is still unfolding”.

I like the way someone put it here –
“I hope you realise – that every day is a fresh start for you – that every sunrise is a new chapter in your life – waiting to be written”.
It’s good for me to take hold of such a thought – for as I get older – it’s easy to slip into a way of thinking – that life is almost over – and that my story is complete – instead of seeing each day as yet another chapter to be written.
I was also encouraged as I read the following –
“An unfolding story and life’s journey – capture the beauty of the unknown – growth – and the passage of time” – and I particularly love the thought of – ‘capturing the beauty of the unknown’.

The unknown can at times cause anxiety – but – as put here –
“Not every chapter of your life has to be beautiful – some chapters are simply about surviving long enough to turn the page”.
I want to keep turning those pages – continue to see growth in my life – as I also witness the passage of time.
Life’s journey is a movement – not a standing still – it may pause for a while in one place – but then moves on.
I have certainly experienced those times – when there seems to be a pause in my life – when I feel as though I am standing still – but – after a while – things begin to move again – as my story continues to unfold.

The continuing of my life – my story – is important – for –
“I am not my past or my pain – I honour who I am becoming – I am growing – healing – and glowing in my own time. My heart is enough – my voice matters – my story is still unfolding – and it is beautiful. I choose peace – self love – and truth”.
I am so glad that I have learnt to honour myself – to recognise that I do not have to strive to live up to the expectations of others – but simply be content with who I am – recognising my worth – as I continue to become the person I am created to be.

My story is not finished – and I am excited to see what the next chapter contains – being determined that whatever it may hold – I will not give up – but follow this advise –
“Your story is still being written – don’t let today be the chapter where you give up”.
Blessings – Lois
