I am so grateful – for those close connections – that I have been so privileged to have during my life time – and indeed – for those that I still enjoy today.
They are – “Connections – inexplicable – by the laws of place – and time”.
They have happened at various times in my life – and one thing I have learnt – is that they are not dependant on the amount of time that we can physically spend together.

In fact – one such connection – is with my brother – who is visiting from Australia – and whom I have not seen for 9 years. We are not even in regular contact with one another – yet – there remains that strong bond – that deep connection.
I love how someone put it here – “There is no distance too far between souls that share a deep connection” – and I am so grateful for that.
I am also privileged to enjoy those connections in my day to day life – and there is nothing I enjoy more than the moments of connection – and deep conversations with others.

Only a few years ago – I was suddenly reconnected with a friend – whom I had not seen for over 20 years – and although we live quite a distance from each other – we share that wonderful connection – and it means so much to me – knowing that I can freely share my life’s journey – and feel seen – heard – and valued.
This quote puts it so well for me – “I define connection – as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen – heard – and valued – when they can give and receive – without judgement – and when they derive sustenance – and strength – from the relationship”
It’s wonderful to feel totally at ease with others – to the extent that I can truly share my soul – and feel completely free – to be myself – no pretence.

As I have become more at ease with myself – learning to be more honest about myself too – I can sense the importance – and the difference it makes – in my relating to others.
Someone put it this way – “Authenticity attracts real connections” – and above all – I want to remain authentic – to be real – and for others – to be able to enjoy those real connections with me too.
Blessings – Lois

I have not been lucky enough to find such a bond, it must be amazing…
