So – today was one of those days – when my mind was almost totally blank – as I sat to ponder on what I was going to write for my blog post.

But – as I sat – I found myself inspired – and in fact – quite fascinated – at the possibilities – that a ‘blank canvas’ can provide – or – as this quote puts it – ” A blank canvas – has unlimited possibilities” – and so I focus – not on the ‘blankness’ – but rather on the possibilities presented to me.

I also love the thought that – today – is a new day – that each day I start anew – that – “my life is like a canvas – it begins blank – and every day is like another brush stroke”

I can choose the colours – allow the picture of my day to evolve – as I apply those brush strokes – and – need not worry about any mistakes that I may make – for – “each sunrise is a fresh start- a new day – a brand new pencil – on an empty page”.

A blank page – or even – a blank mind – is not something to stress about – but rather something to see as an opportunity – that chance to create – to make it my own.

“I was created – to create” – with the freedom and ability to create something fresh – something new – each day – to create something of worth and beauty – and something unique to me – not a copy of what someone else maybe would paint for me – for the page is mine – fresh – and blank – to fill as I will.

I so love the sentiment of this quote – “Life is a blank canvas – and we are the painters – needing to create something – of worth and beauty – that marks our journey – you hold your brush – choose your palette – and begin to fill your canvas – realising that – you are the artist of your own destiny”

And so – I mark my journey today – beginning with that ‘blank’ – but taking hold of the opportunity – to create – to hold my brush – choose my palette – seeking to make each stroke count – on the canvas of my life.
