As I sit down to write this blog post – I am aware that we have just ushered in a new month – the month of June. For some reason – for me – this month has seemed a long time in arriving.
I have so loved the Spring months – which – I have to say – I always look forward to with such anticipation – but – the longer – warmer days – do have a great appeal – and the month of June certainly promises that. But – as I have said before – each month – each season – brings with it – it’s own special qualities – allowing me to experience such diversity and variety – and so – I wanted to mark this week – with a ‘welcome’ – to the long awaited month of June.

As always – as I prepare my blog posts – I sought to find appropriate quotes – that help me to express my thoughts.
One of the first ones I came across is this one – “Welcome June – may the beautiful perfection of this month – fill your heart with the assurance – that for everything – there is a season”.
I love that reminder – that even as I welcome in this new month – not knowing what it might hold for me – there is the assurance that – I enter into another season of my life – and I simply need to take hold of whatever opportunities it may hold for me.

I love the sentiment of this quote – “Last months words belong to last month’s language – next month’s words await another voice “.
This month – the month of June – will have a language of it’s own – the words I heard in May – belong to the language of May – and so – I want to be open to hear – and give voice to the language of June – excited to hear what it has to say to me.

I love the thought of entering each new month afresh – of seeing it as a season of new things – of new opportunities – someone wrote – as an encouragement to welcome the new month – “Every new month is like a fresh piece of paper – and only you decide what will be written on it – may this month have a successful start – and a lot of great achievements in the end”.
So – I pick up my ‘pen’ – ready to write on the ‘fresh piece of paper’ – that is the month of June – excited to see what inspires me – and just what will be achieved over the coming weeks.
This acrostic poem encapsulates something that is important to me – as it welcomes in the month of June –
“Joy finds you when you – Understand your value and – Nourish your need – Even when it feels hard“
That is something that I intend to continue to explore during this new month – as I realise how important it is – to see my value – and to care for my needs – for this not only fills me with joy – but enables me to be better equipped to help others.
Blessings – Lois

I love the start of a new month, turning the calendar to see what the new month will bring.
