It’s interesting – that as I sat to gather my thoughts for this blog post – I was conscious of how I can find constant inspiration – from even the fairly simple life that I lead these days.

I was reminded that – when I wrote my first blog post – just over eight years ago – my intent was – to inspire – and in fact – gave it the title of – ‘inspirational thoughts – from everyday life’ – and that is certainly what I have sought to do. I find this quote good advice –
“Always keep your eyes open – keep watching – because – whatever you see – can inspire you” – and it really is so true – for wherever I look – there is something that has the power to inspire me – be it in nature – or in the lives of those around me.
I remember too – that I made the statement – that – ‘a life of faith inspires me’ – and that is still true – for faith to me – is that belief – not in any doctrine particularly – but in the acknowledgment – of being part of something – so much bigger than just myself – that – although difficult to understand – is an exciting and inspiring part of who I am.

I love how this quote puts it –
“If the sight of the blue skies – fill you with joy – If the blade of grass springing up in the fields – has power to move you – If the simple things in nature have a message that you understand – rejoice – for your soul is alive”
Or – as someone else said –“Inspiration opens the door to our souls – allow yourself to be inspired – and watch your world open up”.
It’s so true – for many times I recognise that – ‘moving of my soul’ – as I see and experience nature – or read or hear – from the lives and experiences – of others.
Looking out for – and being inspired is important to me as a person – it’s something that I need in my life – it sustains me – and makes me who I am – and without it – my life would be emptier.

But – I have always sought to inspire others too – and am always blessed whenever I can do so.
In fact – “To be inspired is great – but to be an inspiration – is an honour”
So – as I write today – I guess I am inspired – to continue to look out for inspiration – so that I can pass that on – and hopefully inspire others too.
Blessings – Lois
