I’m excited to realise that in a very short time – one of our grandsons will embark upon a new career choice – that will be the beginning of realising a dream.

Yet – even as I write that – I am not sure that he has always had this dream – because – “Sometimes the dreams that come true – are the dreams that you never even knew you had”.

I find that is so true – and I love that often we don’t recognise that something was a dream – until it actually becomes a reality

One thing I do know though – is that it all began – with him realising that he didn’t just want to stay where he was – in the job – that I have to say he has done so well – for the past few years.

And I’m proud of him for acting on that – because “The first step towards getting somewhere – is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are”

I guess in some way – that’s where dreams begin.

I like the way this quote puts it – “Dreams don’t just happen – you design them – build them – and take action to bring them to life”.

And as I see it – this is what he is doing. Having built that dream – he is acting in a way – that will bring it to life.

“We all have dreams – but in order to make dreams become a reality – it takes an awful lot of determination – dedication – self discipline – and effort”.

Dreams will remain dreams – if nothing is done to turn them into reality.

I dreamt for many years of writing – yet did very little to achieve that dream. That was partly because I didn’t believe in myself – and so lacked the courage to take action – and bring that dream to life.

I’m so grateful – to those who encouraged me – and continue to do so – and it has spurred me on – to continue – not just to dream – but to do what I can – to bring those dreams to life.

I love this quote – “You are never too old – to set another goal – or to dream a new dream”

And that’s what I intend to do – continue to design – and build dreams – and then – to bring them to life.
