‘Inspiring Others’

As I was preparing to write my blog post this week – I wasn’t finding inspiration – until I listened to a voice message from a dear friend – who simply encouraged me in my writing – and suddenly – there was my inspiration!

And – I was reminded me that – “Inspiration – can come to us at any time – and from many sources”.

Because of her words – I was encouraged – and reminded that I write my blog each week – in the hope that my words might encourage and inspire others too.

I simply share my story – my day to day life – my passion for my garden – my love of nature – life with family – and my spiritual journey too.

I seek to include all the highs and lows of life – with all my victories and failures – for – to quote – “Share your story – you never know – who your story will inspire”.

As I share the everyday happenings in my life – through my blog – I so often wonder – how the things I write – can inspire others – but I share them – in the hope that others may be encouraged – not because I get things right – or even because I have great insight to share – but – as this quote encouraged me – “You don’t inspire others by being perfect – you inspire them – by how you deal with your imperfections”.

I want the simple stories of life – that I share to inspire – but – more than that – as I write I am inspired too. Someone said that “Your story should inspire others – your journey – should inspire you”.

And often as I write – I am aware of that – as I recount the journey that I am on – I am inspired – and that in turn encourages me.

I am so grateful – for those that have – and still do – encourage me on my life’s journey – and for those whose lives – and words inspire me too.

Each week as I write my blog – I love to find quotes that encourage and inspire me – and share them too – in the hopes that others will find them as inspiring as I do. I appreciate so many of the quotes that I come across – as others can so often express my thoughts in such beautiful ways.

Yet – great though it is to be inspired – as this quote puts it – “To be inspired is great -but to be an inspiration – is an honour”.

And if my words each week accomplish that – if just some small part of what I share – inspires and blesses someone else – then I am honoured indeed.

Blessings – Lois
