Another year has drawn to a close – and we enter the uncertainty of the future – for – in life – there are no guarantees – but – there is always – ‘hope’.

And so – I enter this new year with – “renewed hope – for – new opportunities – new adventures – new ways to give and love“.
Someone once said that – “There are no guarantees in this life – only strong possibilities – that’s enough for me”. – and I so agree with that,
For – even as I get older – I don’t ever want to lose sight of the possibilities – still left to me. I want to take hold of whatever this coming year has for me – and embrace it.

I look forward to seeing what’s in store – and want to be brave enough to – ‘hope’ – in the face of – ‘no guarantees’.
As this quote puts it – “The hardest part of having no guarantees – is to be brave enough to hope – then – live the way you want to – and to be vulnerable enough to say – I want this”.
I have discovered during this past year – that – to live the way I want – does take courage – and to be brave enough to speak out – about what I want too – understanding – just how important it is for me – to take care of myself – thus allowing me to be in a better place – to reach out to others and be there for them.
I don’t intend to make ‘New Year Resolutions’ – but – I want to – “approach the new year with the resolve to find the opportunities hidden in each new day.”
For – if I look – those opportunities are always there – it’s really up to me – to remind myself of that – and to look out for them.

The beginning of a new year – does give us the chance to re-access – to give thought to maybe hopes and dreams that are in our hearts – and while – “There is nothing magical – about the flip of the calendar – it does represent – a clean break – a new hope – and a blank canvas”
It’s my choice as to what I decide to do with it – and as I look at that – ‘blank canvas’ – as it were – I do so with new renewed hope – conscious of the uncertainties of life – but ready – and unafraid – to face the future.
Blessings – Lois
