This week marks the seventh anniversary of my blog posts – and to me – it’s worth celebrating that fact.
Never did I imagine – when I first plucked up the courage to publish anything that I had written – that I would still be continuing to do so – seven years later.

They do say that – “Time flies – when you’re having fun” – and I think that – the sentiment rings true here – because I can truly say – that I have had fun writing – and sharing – my thoughts each week.

To some – this may not seem a great achievement – but I think it’s important for me – to recognise that – for – even the small things in life – are worth celebrating.
To quote – “Celebrate your milestones – even if they are only pebbles – life is too short – not to celebrate”.

This – for me – is quite a milestone – for it illustrates – how far I have come – or – to put it like this – “Today is a milestone – it tells you how far you have come – Keep learning – keep trying – keep accomplishing – and keep venturing – through your journey”
It’s also created – in many ways – an account of my journey – over the last seven years – allowing me to grow – both in confidence – and in honesty – as – more and more I seek to be true to myself – daring to be vulnerable – and allowing others to catch a glimpse – of the pathways that I tread.

We also have another reason to celebrate this week – as it’s just four years since we moved into this house – and made it our home.
But – we don’t have to wait just for those – ‘big’ occasions in life – to celebrate – we can always find something to be grateful for – and I agree that – “The best time to celebrate – is – whenever you can.”
In fact – a relative made a comment recently – in reply to birthday greetings she had been sent – to quote – “I am feeling grateful – for having another year to celebrate – and hoping for many more”.

So often – I can fail to celebrate the small things – those things that are a part of my every day – that can so easily be overlooked – or maybe not seen as important .
So – I will seek to do as suggested here – “Celebrate the little things – celebrate every tiny victory – celebrate everything – celebrate how far you have come today – celebrate your life”.
Blessings – Lois
