I feel so fortunate – to live in the countryside – where I can observe the seasons as they pass – each one bringing their own brand of beauty.

As this month unfolds – I am able to witness the colours that belong to the Autumn months – and on those days that are filled with sunshine – the glory is intensified – and my soul thrills with the sight that I behold.
I love the way that so many have expressed this wonder – this beauty – causing Autumn – to speak to me in so many ways. One such example being the following – “October gave a party – their leaves by hundreds came – the ashes – oaks – and maples – and leaves of every name. The sunshine spread a carpet – and everything was grand – Miss Weather led the dancing – Professor Wind the band”.

I just love the analogy of everything working together – as if to create a dance – and I imagine that they all combine to bring me joy – as I take a walk – amongst those tress.
A friend of mine made a comment – only this past week – that she was enjoying – ‘wind therapy’ – while on one of her walks’. What a lovely example – of how much we can gain – and how blessed we can feel – by the simple things of nature.
Emily Bronte – put it this way – “Every leaf speaks bliss to me – fluttering from the Autumn tree”

Autumn – is all about ‘change’ – as leaves fall – and trees lay bare – waiting for new life to begin again.
As I seek to learn lessons – from the life around me – I love this idea that – “There is something so special in the early leaves drifting from the trees – as if we are all to be allowed a chance to peel – to refresh – to start again” .
I find that so freeing – to allow myself those times when I need to – ‘peel away the old’ – and start afresh – and I want to embrace that – as – Autumn embraces change – even as she is falling to pieces”

For – as Autumn fades – making room for the next season to follow – so life moves on – bringing about the changes – letting go of the old – and moving on – to the new – constantly evolving – always with grace – and hope.
And so – “I hope I can be the Autumn leaf – who looked at the sky and lived – and when it was time to leave gracefully – it knew – life was a gift.”
