This week has found me washing around 300 plant pots – not to mention seed trays and propagators – all because I decided to grow so much from seed this year.
Was it worth it – combined of course with all the nurturing – repotting – and planting out.
Yes – to me – it certainly was – and I am loving seeing those first flowers beginning to bloom – and to already be enjoying the first of the vegetable crop too.
However – I recognise that for many – the work and time involved would not be worth it at all – far easier to simply buy the plants – or not even to garden at all.
That’s what made me think – of how important it is to recognise just how different we can be – and the phrase that came to mind was – “To each their own”

The things that I love – and that fill my heart and soul – are not necessarily the same things that give others pleasure- but I have learnt that – I need to pay attention to them – “Pay attention to the things you are naturally drawn to – they are often connected to your path – passion – and purpose in life – have the courage to follow them”
I love nature – (gardening too of course) – walking in the quiet – space to be alone – being creative – communing with God in my own way . So many things that would not bring the same joy – passion – and purpose – to others – but that is okay.

I love this quote here – “Dip into your own soul – find your own truth – what calls to your heart – what moves your spirit – what makes your life dance to the song of your own essence”
Finding – and following – what calls to my heart – and moves my spirit – has become so important to me – allowing me to find the steps of my dance – and to sing a song – that is all my own.

If I have learnt anything over the past few years – it has been the importance of walking my own path – and not being afraid – when it veers away from the path others walk along – taking the advise here – “Don’t try to follow others’ paths – your own will lead you exactly the way you need to go”
And – as I follow my path – I am mindful of how I need to allow others to follow theirs. And not only that – but I need to be encouraging and supportive – as they do so – recognising the importance of that phrase – ‘to each their own’
Blessings – Lois
