‘Space To Be Myself’

As I continue on life’s journey – I find that I am learning more about myself – and the importance of listening to my soul – as well as my body – for the things that I need – for the things that help me to be stronger – that nourish me – and bring me peace.

I love what someone said here – “Give yourself space to really understand what you might need from the day – rather than what the day needs from you”.

I guess more often than not – I do tend to focus on what I need to do each day – rather than truly stop – and think – just what my needs are.

The – ‘giving myself space’ – is so necessary – ” Holding space for myself – means permission to feel what I need to feel – space to just be here – exactly who and how I am – and to find my way forward – gently”

I love the way that is put – and am learning to be brave enough to give myself permission to simply – ‘feel’ – to – ‘be here’ – and to – ‘ find my way forward’ – on my own – in my own way – and at my own pace.

I find it so freeing – and the more I learn to give myself that space – the more at peace I become.

All I need to do – is to recognise that – as this quote puts it – “Within you – there is a stillness and a sanctuary – to which you can retreat at any time – and be yourself.”

I don’t find that this is something that is hard to do – “It’s all about just giving yourself those small moments of space – to just sit – and be.

And actually – it doesn’t need to take up too much time – simply those odd moments – creating ‘space’ – and learning to understand what I need each day – therefore enabling me to be more true to myself – as I move forward on my journey.
