I was only thinking the other day – just how long it is since I began to produce a ‘Blog’. It was a big thing for me to do – as I had very little confidence in myself.
But – writing was something that I had always loved doing – and also – at that time – someone who I actually didn’t know very well – was instrumental in encouraging me – to step out – and ‘have a go’.

As I pondered on how to even begin – I decided that I simply wanted to – both be inspired – and to inspire others – through my everyday life.
It took courage for me – to share even the simple things around me – and to dare to believe that my thoughts might actually inspire – and bless others – but I decided to take hold of these words – “Don’t be ashamed of your story – it will inspire others”.
I guess my story is really simply a recounting of my journey – a journey that has taken me – and continues to take me along many paths – with all the twists and turns – and ups and downs – that constitutes life for us all.

I haven’t always got things right – mistakes have been made – but – I love how someone put it here – “There’s no need to be perfect to inspire others – let people get inspired by how you deal with your imperfections” – and that is what I seek to do.
Not only am I inspired by my everyday life – the things that I see and do – but also by the things I pick up from others – observations that they have made – as they too share their own journey in life.

And so – I draw my inspiration from so many places – so many people – and love it that – “Inspiration can come at us – at any time – and from many sources”.

But I guess most of all – I am learning how important it is for me to be true to myself – to dare to be open – and honest – and to have the confidence to believe that – as I share parts of my journey – which others may not understand – just the simple fact that I am being myself – will inspire others – and that – “my authenticity – will inspire them – to be themselves too”.

I love this thought that someone expressed – “there are people in your life – whom you unknowingly inspire – simply by being you” – and it gives me great comfort – and confidence to believe in myself so much more – and to relax – allowing myself to be ‘me’.
And so I will continue – to share my journey – with just one goal in mind – to be an inspiration – in whatever way I can.
Blessings – Lois
