‘My Life – My Story – My Way”

I feel as though – in recent years – I have begun to see my life in a different way – and it’s as though I have taken far more control over it than I ever have before.

I have come to see that – this is – ‘my life’ – and – ‘my story’ – that needs to be lived out in – ‘my way’.

At times I do find myself surprised to recognise just how much of my life I have lived based on the expectations of others – and how free I now feel – following my own path – asking my own questions – and finding my own way.

I love that life is a journey for us all – and for me – a journey means movement – travel – and exploration – often into the unknown.

Of course my journey does not always follow the same track as that of someone else – and that is okay – but I love the quote made here – “Your journey is not the same as mine – and my journey is not yours – but if you meet me on a certain path – may we encourage each other”

It blesses me – when I can meet others on their journey – and we can simply encourage each other – neither one of us trying to persuade the other to walk our chosen path – for I believe each of us needs to be free – to follow our own hearts and minds – and as someone rightly said –

“You have your way – I have my way – as for the right way – and the only way – it does not exist”.

My life has been influenced by so many people – and I will forever be grateful for their encouragement – council and care.

My story is made up of so many experiences that I have been through – so often in the company of others – experiences that have brought both joy and sorrow – yet each one enriching my story.

But – it is I myself – who has chosen the ‘way’ I have gone – and for me – it’s so important that I carry on doing so – feeling free – to – ‘do it my way’ – and at the same time extending grace and understanding to others – as they too – choose – ‘their way’.
