I just love those moments in life – that happen so unexpectedly – moments that touch my soul.

One such moment happened for me the other morning – as – sitting in the quiet – my soul was stirred by a song that I heard. It was a song that I had not heard for a long time – and although I am very familiar with the words – something about them touched me deeply – causing emotions to rise that had not been felt for a while. It was a moment of deep soul connection.

This quote expresses a little of how I felt – as though God Himself had orchestrated this moment for me – “Isn’t it just like Him – to use the most unexpected moments – and least likely of places – to allow a heart to feel so full – so content – and so grateful”

In life – there is so much that stirs my heart and soul – and I love each moment – cherish and treasure them – for so often – “It’s the unexpected that changes our lives” – those – often small incidents – that have a great impact – and cause me to think – and to feel enriched deep in my soul.

Later – that same morning – listening to a friend who was telling me about a walk she had been on – I was aware that -she too – had experienced one such moment – an unexpected sight – which took her breath away – and caused her to exclaim out loud – at the joy she felt.

It can often be just simple things that can bring such joy – the sights and sounds around me – if I take the time – tune my heart – to listen – and open my eyes to see – but – those very special moments can be rare – and so I value them all the more – and am always so grateful for them – as they lift my spirit – so often just when I need it – take me away from the ‘ordinary’ – and allow my soul to soar.
